For those customers who do not want to re-program their processor, we offer an exciting new option that will allow you to install the C&L "Street" intake without having to re-flash your computer. Due to the sensitivity of the factory processor, we have provided a detailed explanation of how the new "no tune option" works on a separate page. Please go HERE to view the technical details. ALL C&L 2005+ Mustang air intakes now come with an improved filter shroud design that is thicker and features a one-piece trim seal (see images).

 Our "Street" system is a complete throttle body forward package that replaces the entire factory air intake assembly. It comes with a new cast aluminum inlet pipe, CNC machined aluminum mass airflow housing, conical filter assembly, filter shroud assembly, hoses, stainless steel clamps, installation hardware, installation tool and detailed instructions. As with all of our systems, this product was developed not only through extensive dyno testing, but also utilizing our fully computerized flowbench assembly. Our proprietary flow stand is capable of accurately measuring the entire intake assembly (see image), and has the capacity to measure enough air to support the flow requirements of a 1,000 horsepower engine. While the original factory system is only capable of flowing a maximum of 550 CFM at 28 inches of test pressure, our "Street" intake assembly flows a full 1,003 CFM, which means that it has 82% GREATER FLOW CAPACITY than the stock factory intake (see image). This increase is achieved through not only a better intake design, but also because it features a larger capacity mass airflow section. This additional airflow not only provides you with the MAXIMUM possible gain for an air intake on a typical stock vehicle, but it also provides enough airflow to support additional future modifications without restricting vehicle performance. 


 



When you order the Street kit with our "no tune option" calibration insert, the insert will reduce the maximum airflow capacity of this system down to 885 CFM, which still provides 61% more flow capacity than stock, and this amount of airflow will allow you to enjoy MOST of the benefits of the "Street" intake without the need of a computer re-flash. Our new "no tune option" makes our "Street" intake ideal for ALL 2005+ GT owners, as the end user can choose to install the intake first, while leaving the option to re-tune the computer as a future modification. Our 3v Street System with the optional calibration insert is is 50 State Legal*. Once you are ready to re-tune the computer, simply remove the "no tune insert" from the MAF body to enjoy the maximum possible benefit of both the air intake and the computer programming adjustments. You will notice that we are the only air intake manufacturer that supplies actual flow test information for our products in every configuration. This is because in most cases other companies do not own (or have access to) test equipment such as ours, and even if they did, the capacity of most commercially available flowstands are not capable of flowing these intake assemblies at a full 28 inches of depression (which is the common standard for the industry).
